Volkswagen Golf

Volkswagen Golf Mark I photographed in Tartu Estonia 2008. Golf Mark I was introduced in 1974 and produced until 1983. It became a successful replacement for the air-cooled Volkswagen Beetle. Since introduction the Golf has been Volkswagen's best-selling model. The Golf Mark I was sold as the Volkswagen Rabbit in the United States and Canada, and as the Volkswagen Caribe in Mexico. Golf Mark I also achieved cult status in South Africa under the name of “Citi Golf”, produced from 1984 until 2009.

You mention "until 83" do a search for "citygolf" and see what you find. These were built until 2007. have a look at this link. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volkswagen_Citi_Golf
